Update

After long times of combat, I finally got arrangements for some machines that I can use as servers. Hopefully I'll have as many as 3 to 4 up and running on Linux 2.4 kernal in about 3 weeks or so. Naturally, I'll be running these off my internet connection, so I should be more than set for databases and that like in approximentally 3 weeks as well. As for means to switch from server to server as one receives it's maximum connections, I've yet to discover. Naturally, all these issues can be solved with some time and some research. Hopefully I can have everything running by Janurary or February.

Update. The Procces Begins.

Tonight, I began to scramble through the CVS and determining how I'd like the entire site to work.

For now, I'm focusing on getting my ideas plotted out for me to keep track of (I finally have a use for the To-Do-List, heaven and hell forbid.) I'm aiming for this to work in tandem with a current eBusiness so to say, that I'll be hosting as well. Intwinding the two will essentially create an environment that will be plentiful for both those whom aren't actual paying members, while enabling enough features for those whom are paying members to find their money's worth.

I never really considered Livejournal as a possibly income, considering the fact it was free back in the day. (Back before I really cared now that I notice). I also hope that offering a place for people to lay down their feelings and all the intangible things that the 31337 people try to deny existence of. While they are on my mind, there are things that I would like to see done with the site, as well as there are some things I'd much rather never see.

Sees:
1.) Place for people to post as with any journaling system, with ease and speed.
2.) Place for people to interact without feeling overly left out in the entire world of LoneJournal. (While this seems to rival the entire meaning of the journal, it's not what I'd like to see done. I will offer means for people to ensure that they cannot be found by outside sources, but even those are as fallible as the Copy and Paste command.)
3.) Place for people to enjoy paying features without completely forming elitist groups and feelings seperating non-paying from paying groups.]
4.) Place for people to be people.

Dont See:
1.) Place where people create a billion journals for the simple goal of trading. I will have that restricted. There will be a limit to accounts per email extension. (Sorry, no dodging it the email requirement by making a trillion @yahoo.coms, I'll need to discover as to how I could do that though, I dont know any feasible means except by IP-logging and IP-binding all LJs to a certain IP, preventing the creation of another once you have your IP bound to one, but even that will be more difficult that I really expect.).
2.) Place where [Unknown LJ tag] and [Unknown LJ tag] are able to offer up more than 6-10 codes at once as if it were no big deal. I want codes to not just float about so easily, I'd like people to work a bit to get their Lonejournal, and they can always join the eBusiness for low price and not even worry about codes anymore.)
3.) Place where people spend their time posting "I HATE LONEJOURNAL" because something dies on the server end. I by no means have the ability to support this project alone, and I have many plans and goals which will likely take much time to achieve. I dont want a poor atmosphere where the users are constantly expecting a downed server. That'd get on my last nerve if I paid to have a Lonejournal.
4.)Place that's quiet, with no interaction or use.

I believe that'd be a nice load for the time. Hopefully within the next month I Can have everything I need off the CVS ready and installed and prepared for configuration and possible test starts.
